Looking for a Natural Deodorant? Jason is your Man!
January 4, 2010 - 12:24pm — byOne of my biggest fears is that I will get cancer.
I read an article last year that scared me. It said when aluminum is used in antiperspirant and deodorants to stop sweating, it clogs the pours and glands in the armpit and in turn locks in toxins. These toxins are thought to be linked to breast cancer.
Obviously, I no longer wanted to use a deodorant that uses aluminum (or any other harsh chemicals for that matter) to stop my B.O., so I made the switch to natural options.
But it wasn't a perfect union, I'll tell you that! I spent a year suffering with the wrong options for me.

Editor's Choice Blog: My New Musical Obsession: Daniel Merriweather
October 26, 2009 - 3:16pm — byMusic is a huge, huge, gigantic part of my daily life. I don't leave my house without my mp3 player, and I can't put on my makeup in the morning without singing along with someone!
Naturally, while I was on the hunt for goodies to put in the gift bags for theSony Style Fashion Show & Market, I knew I needed some tunes to add. I just didn't know what would appeal to the Women's Post demographic.
A friend of mine introduced me to Daniel Marriweather. She invited me to the show and I couldn't make it. BOY do I regret missing it now!

OMG BEATLES ROCK BAND!
September 9, 2009 - 9:23am — byEveryone knows I hate games. I'm a sore loser (yet a graceful winner!) so I tend to avoid games. I don't think it's lady like to get mad and curse because I can't navigate a car on a game track!
But, today is a big day for games and even bigger for Beatles fans. Beatles Rock Band is now on sale!
I would totally play this game!
Available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii (disc: $59.99), the game includes 45 different songs, historic Beatles performance venues, and 3D representations of the band members.

Where Were You When Pop Music Died?
June 26, 2009 - 5:38am — byFirst there was the question, where were you when 9/11 happened?
Then there was, where were you when Obama was elected?
Now we have, where were you the day Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died? I want to know. Leave your comment below.
Wow, epic day. No one saw that coming, MJ. You always had a way of surprising your audience.
I started painting my new apartment yesterday. I got bored quick so I went into a sketchy China Town store to buy speakers for my iPod. My new room mate called and said, "wow, can you believe today?"

Cancer Sticks Now Come in Recyclable Packaging!
June 8, 2009 - 10:39am — byOh thank goodness someone did something about the terrible packaging cigarettes are sold in! There was just too much foil being deposited into landfills.
I was at a bar on Saturday night, and even after a couple of drinks I thought this ad was ridiculous.
Du Maurier cigarettes have 'updated' their packaging to make less of an impact on the environment. They are using paper instead of foil and cardboard that 'meets standards supporting sustainable forest management.'

It's Not Easy Being Green- Hair Dye edition
May 27, 2009 - 10:44am — by"Miranda has beautiful hair," she said.
"She dyes it," he replied.
"I thought so."
This was a conversation that occurred between a guy I USED to date and his mother.
I'm sure he only repeated the story because he wanted me to know his mom thought I was pretty. But I was mad that he couldn't just let her think I had perfect, shinny, chocolate locks.

What happened to smart organized crime?
May 19, 2009 - 2:53pm — byTimes are tough! Believe me, I know! But I am very disappointed in some of my fellow workers!

More Jon and Kate Plus 8
May 6, 2009 - 10:09am — byI haven’t had cable in over nine months so I can’t say I am up to date with Jon and Kate Plus 8, but I have seen a few of the earlier episodes. Every time I go for dinner at my friend’s house, we end up watching reruns on TLC. And subsequently we end up having the same debate about their relationship.
My argument is that Kate’s a total nag and needs to relax or her husband is going to leave her. No relationship can handle that much nit picking. And, my friend’s side is that Kate is a stressed out mother and Jon needs to help more.
